Belair has five bedrooms and sleeps up to ten people. The entire property is enclosed and has an electronic entrance gate and a small gate to the sea front. While the property provides all the modern facilities which are required by discerning vacationers, the old world character of Belair Great House has been carefully preserved. Many of Barbados' finest beaches are within a five-minute drive of the property and Dawlish Beach and Falmouth Beach are within a few hundred yards. Set within the grounds are a large swimming pool and deck with ample space for relaxing and entertaining. Adjoining the pool deck is a barbeque with bar sink and counter top. Adjacent to the barbeque area is a gazebo with a dining table seating ten. The pool area is slightly raised and gated making Belair Great House child friendly. Also within the grounds is a recently constructed asphalt tennis court. The living room upstairs has cable TV, VCR and CD player. The adjacent bar area makes entertaining a pleasure. Off the living room is a wide verandah which wraps around three sides of the house with magnificent views of the ocean and grounds. There is an informal dining room upstairs with an adjoining kitchen, perfect for breakfast and casual meals while the formal dining room downstairs with a large antique mahogany table and chairs, crystal chandelier and antiques is a reminder of Old Barbados. Staff at Belair includes a maid and gardener / handyman. A cook can also be made available at an additional cost of $ 210 / week US by contacting the owner. There are two telephone lines at Belair,one of which can be used for Internet access.
