A spacious one bedroom house with open plan living and dining areas, perched above the southern end of Oualie Bay, in
a mature half acre tropical garden. There are magnificent views across the "Narrows" to St Kitts from the front balcony and
interior of the house. Decks to either side of the house, accessed from the bedroom and living and dining areas, provide
al fresco mealtimes and afternoon shade.
There is also a lower pool deck with a 15' x 15' square pool. Yellow Bird is well furnished and decorated and accessorised
in gentle caribbean hues and patterns. The house is managed locally, all guests are met at Newcastle Airport. A simple
welcome pack of groceries is provided at the house in advance of your stay. Our maid visits three mornings per
week.
Oualie Bay Beach is a five minute stroll from the garden gate and offers soft golden sands and shallow, safe, warm
Caribbean waters. Numerous activities are available on the beach, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing to name a few.
Oualie Bay Beach Club has a small restaurant and bar.
Charlestown, the capital of Nevis is a twenty five minute drive. Most provisions will be purchased in Charlestown and we
recommend a rental car for at least some of your stay. There is also a small store at Newcastle a five minute drive from
Yellow Bird.
Amenities include a private pool, fully equipped kitchen including a gas stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, ample
crockery, utensils and cookware, utility room with washer, deep freezer and washing line. Bathroom with wc, vanity basin
and large walk in shower, closet, and towels.
King size bed, pretty antique day bed (sleeps an adult or two small children), and all bed linens. Iron and ironing board,
CD player / radio, ceiling fans and adjustable wooden louvres to doors and windows throughout, a selection of holiday
reading, and a telephone.
