The BougainVilla (as we've named our home), is so named after the tropical flowering shrub, the bougainvillea, that blooms
year-round in bright colored flowers, enhancing St. Croix's alluring beauty. Conveniently located on the north side of the island,
just minutes east of historic Christiansted, in the private hillside community of Sierra Verde, the BougainVilla is near white sand
beaches, golf, tennis, fine beach front dining and duty free shopping.
The sea view is breathtaking, from the one hundred and ten
foot veranda, that encompasses the front of this designer decorated home. This spectacular sea view, features Buck Island (the
United States' only National Underwater Park) center stage. A large, gated, tropical courtyard, landscaped with palms, gardenias
and hibiscus, comes completely furnished for outdoor barbecues and sunning. The sun drenched swimming pool and moon lit jacuzzi
spa will compel you to "ultimate relaxation". The BougainVilla offers luxury accommodations at lower rental rates then most hotels
on the island.
The BougainVilla with the large sea view veranda, totaling over 2500 sq. ft. of living area, cooled by tropical breezes,
is a charming villa featuring two private King bedroom suites, each with king sized canopy beds and private separate baths. The
bedroom suites are separated by a spacious " Great Room" with cathedral ceilings and eight sliding glass patio doors that give
a " wide open " feeling to the living, dining rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. This villa is very comfortable and affordable, even
when shared by two couples."The BougainVilla" has 2 bedrooms - 2 baths, each in their own "private wing" off the octagon shaped,
spacious and open main body of the house, which includes the kitchen and a large great room that contains the living and dining
rooms. All rooms have high vaulted ceilings.Eight sliding glass doors open out to the one hundred and ten foot encompassing front
veranda, caressed by cool tropical breezes, has a spectacular Caribbean sea view, with Buck Island, center stage.
Directly off the
front veranda is a privacy deck with an eight foot whirlpool spa and a large sunning patio complete with your own private sun drenched
swimming pool. To the back of the house is a large gated courtyard, equipped with gas grill, table and lounge chairs - landscaped
with palms, bougainvilleas, hibiscus, cactus and many other tropical plants.
Furnishings include: white washed rattan living and
dining room suits, upholstered in tropical print fabric. Each bedroom has its own hand-crafted, king size canopy poster bed, with
matching wicker furnishings. The entertainment center includes - cable TV, VCR, and CD stereo with Digital Music Express. A
microwave oven, coffee maker, along with all other amenities, fully equips the kitchen. There's even a large pot for steaming those
delicious Caribbean lobsters. Utilities and linens included.
